Today I am highlighting our VERY FIRST CLIENT. To say I was nervous throughout this entire process is an understatement. While I had invitation design experience, it was always friends and family. It had never been for a "paying customer". So the ante had be upped just a little bit! I had no planned out and as far as process goes, I was pretty much "wingin' it"! But hey, everyone's got to start somewhere right?
After seeing Traci's inspiration and getting a feel for the couple's style I came up with a few different design concepts. They picked their favorite and then we revised until it was just right.
Then it was time to print! This was the part that made me nauseous! I checked with local printers and the cost per invitation was too pricey since it was such a small run. So I turned to an online printer (UGH!...so glad I have my own printer now!) who I used to print my business cards. I submitted the artwork, got the digital proof and off they went into production! It was so hard not having control of the printing process, or at least knowing someone on the other end.
Needless to say they arrived in perfect condition and looked fabulous! So I was worried for nothing (as usual). And I must have done something right because they came back to me for bridal shower invites and a custom program design!
It is so crazy to think of where Ivory House started and where we are today! And to think this was the wedding that officially started it all! I am ever so grateful that Traci entrusted me with her vision. This rustic, peach and teal suite will forever hold a special place in my heart!
