Chic and rustic come together beautifully in today’s couple’s wedding invitation suite. Kayla and Jared were introduced to me by Kayla’s mother, whom I met at a local bridal show. The couple were looking for wedding invitations that brought together elegance and taste.
We created a semi-custom suite based off our popular Caroline Invitation Suite. The color palette was navy, burgundy and kraft, which was perfect for their fall wedding. We used a combination of script and uppercase serif font for a timeless look.
The couple was wed at the University of Dayton Chapel and followed with a reception at Top of Market in Dayton. In traditional fashion, the invitation featured the parents of the bride welcoming guests to the Greek Orthodox ceremony. The couple featured their first and middle names as a part of the invitation announcement, which always offers a traditional touch.
Included in their wedding stationery suite was the wedding invitation with monogram envelope liner, and RSVP card with pre-addressed return envelope. We love when a couple opts for custom details like a monogram; it really elevates the entire stationery suite.
Outer envelope addressing or even a return address stamp is a great upgrade, saving lots of time (and potential waste) from doing it yourself. Kayla and Jared requested approximately 180 invitations, which would’ve meant a lot of time spent on addressing envelopes. This option is definitely one of my most popular add ons.
On the RSVP card, the couple included the option for guests to select their menu preference of chicken, beef or veggie. This little detail can save time tracking not only guest, but also the final menu counts.
As most couples these days do, Kayla and Jared had a wedding website built through The Knot to deliver even more day-of details to guests. To ensure they all knew about the wedding website, we included the link on the details card along with a fun timeline of the evening’s events.
