Hello Ivory House lovers! This week I was feeling inspired by the beauty of cake. For those of you who know me personally, know that I am an avid cake fan. I love cake in all shapes, sizes, flavors and styles. When I attend a wedding or event I am more excited about seeing the cake than anything else. To me the cake is one of the focal points of an event and as so needs to be awe inspiring. For me the bigger the better, not that there is anything wrong with a small cake. There is just something about a five tier beauty that captures my heart. And seeing the interplay of textures, colors, accents and details does nothing but make me love the cake industry even more. I am a huge fan of buttercream. I love the unique looks you can create using fondant and modeling chocolate, however I have yet to taste one that sweeps me off my feet. Buttercream on the other hand, never fails to deliver in both taste and beauty. That being said I thought I would compile some inspiring cakes for all of you.
