I will never forget the day that Ivory House was launched. It was a sunny yet, brisk, fall-like, Small Business Saturday. While my husband and I decked the halls of our first home, Ivory’s first social media post was launched, emails were sent to friends and family, and after months of planning I officially became a small business owner.
Initially this journey was simply meant to be a creative outlet from my day job as a graphic designer at a local marketing firm. I longed for more creativity and independence as a designer – essentially I wanted to find myself creatively. And boy did I ever!
Ivory House has enabled me to do something that I not only love, but that I am also passionate about. I love that I am able to pair my design skills, obsession with pretty paper goods and celebration of love all in one place. And did I mention that I get to work with awesome couples from all over the globe?! Yes, I said globe. And that is astounding to me.
But where would we be without all of you? A major part of Ivory’s success thus far is attributed not only to our awesome couples, but everyone who has crossed paths with Ivory House over the past two years.
To my Family and especially my Husband…No words can adequately express my gratitude. You have assembled more invitations than any one should ever have to. You have dried my tears of frustration, celebrated every new order with a fist pump of joy and continue to spread the word about Ivory House, even when it means more work for you! Thank you for taking this leap of faith and living my life’s dream with me!
To my Clients…It has been a pleasure working with each and every one of you this year! You have all brought me different challenges, joys, and feelings of gratitude that I could never repay you for. Thank you for trusting me with your vision and allowing me to create something beautiful for all of life’s occasions.
To my fellow Vendors…I have been so honored to work side by side with some of the best vendors in the industry. Each one of you has taught me something new and enabled me to grow both as a person and an artist. I am truly thankful for your continued support and newfound friendships I have made along the way!
To my Photographer Friends…Yes, you get a section all to yourselves. Nothing can replace the value of a beautiful image. Your styling and photography skills make my work come alive! And let’s not forget the amazing styled shoots, workshops and publications that I have been blessed to be a part of. Your talent takes my breath away every time and for that I am truly grateful.
As we embark on year number three I can’t wait to meet new couples, collaborate with vendors – new and old, and gain another year of knowledge and experience in the stationery and wedding industries. Skies the limit! Cheer’s to the best year yet! (Insert digital champagne toast here!)
