Wedding stationery is an investment - it accounts for 6% to 10% of your overall wedding budget. Overestimating the number of save the dates, invitations, and day-of paper goods you’ll need, can lead to loads of leftovers once the big day has come and gone. What should you do with all those extra paper products? Don’t throw them away! I’ve made a list of a few crafty and eco-friendly ways to repurpose your unused wedding stationery.
Create a Framed Wedding Keepsake
With a little scrapbook paper, glue, and a picture frame, you can turn a leftover invitation into a lovely memento of your special day. You could also create a collage using a piece of each of your paper goods.
Make Your Own Wall Art
Did your stationery have a beautiful floral print or fun, colorful pattern? Use those designs to create a one of a kind piece of art.
Design Your Own Holiday Ornament
Commemorate your first holiday as a married couple with a DIY ornament. This would make a great gift for your parents or in-laws as well.
Create a Notepad
Cut up larger pieces of paper into squares to keep on your desk for jotting down your messages or to-do lists.
Donate Them
Do you know of a daycare center in your area? Drop off some of your excess paper for the kids to use for arts and crafts or doodling.
Save Them
Your wedding stationery could become a family heirloom. Save some of your extras to pass down to your children. A leftover invitation could become a token they treasure for years to come.
